Mrs. Luker completed her Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education from

Louisiana Tech University in 1976. Her first teaching assignment was in Atlanta,

Louisiana. She taught physical education and social studies. While in Atlanta, she

coached girls' basketball and softball. After Atlanta, Mrs. Luker taught one year at

Rundell Junior High School in Jonesboro, Louisiana where she taught physical education

and coached girls' basketball and softball.

After the birth of her third daughter in 1978 Mrs. Luker became a full-time mother and

stayed home to raise her children. She would return to teaching full time in Washington,

Missouri in 1990 where she taught physical education, science and math for 6 years at

Our Lady of Lourdes.

Mrs. Luker completed her Masters in Physical Education in 1995 from University of

Missouri-St. Louis shortly before making Chamois her permanent home.

Mrs. Dee Luker has been a member of the Osage R-1 School District for the last 12

years. Prior to being an administrator Mrs. Luker taught physical education and health

and held several coaching assignments in volleyball, basketball and track. She received

her Masters in Administration from William Woods University. She is currently the

elementary principal, a position she has held since the 2003-04 school year.

Mrs. Luker has been married for nearly 35 years to her husband David and they have

three daughters and a grandson.
